The PowerCalc Bicycle Power Calculator is a computer program that calculates a cyclists power requirements in Watts and horse power at any given speed along with the number of calories that a rider must consume in order to maintain this power output for a given distance and speed, time and distance, or time at a given road speed. When you adjust the values for the cyclists coefficient of drag, frontal area, rolling friction coefficient, weight, transmission efficiency or road speed the software instantly re-calculates the riders power requirement. You can also change the values for gradients (i.e. the effect of hills and gravity), wind speed, wind direction and air density , calorific efficiency of muscles, 'base load' (i.e. calories required at rest)
