This is the Bristol end of the Bristol to Bath cycle path. The nice wooden arch isn't there now. It vanished sometime in 2004. It might have simply fallen down and been removed by the council, or perhaps it was eaten by traffic cones. Whatever the case, cyclists can no longer ride bicycles under the arch because it no longer exists. But the cycle path is still open and still starts here and continues all the way to Bath.
