The PowerCalc cyclists power calculator calculates a bicycle riders power requirements in Watts and horse power at any given speed along with the number of calories that a rider must consume in order to maintain this power output for a given distance and speed, time and distance, or time at a given road speed.
When you adjust the values for the cyclists coefficient of drag, frontal area, rolling friction coefficient, weight, transmission efficiency or road speed. The software instantly re calculates the riders power requirement.
You can also change the values for gradients (i.e. the effect of hills and gravity), wind speed, and air density (i.e. head wind or tail wind), calorific efficiency of muscles, 'base load' (i.e. calories required at rest)
